Serious Game: Demo Counseling
Daniel from our team took on a freelance project for the Jugendmigrationsdienste (JMD). For this assignment, he developed an interactive fairground game in which visitors step into the role of a social counselor and try to support people with migration backgrounds in various case scenarios.
Since then, the game has been showcased at multiple fairs and events, attracting attention and introducing people to the work and mission of the JMD.
DwarfoCARlypse
In a local Game Jam we create a fun, arcade oriented racing game. You drive around an island, try to dodge the evil dwarfs, collect coins, do stunds and try to survive as long as possible.
Later on different abilities and power ups were added and the AI improved. We look forward to also add new levels, new cars, sound and improved graphics.
ParlourWars
To explore AR game development and in-game economics, we created the prototype ParlourWars. The concept combines digital gameplay with physical cards and QR codes that players can print and scan. Using their phones, players scan cards to generate in-game structures, build bases, and defend against enemy waves. They can also join the action directly by aiming and shooting at targets through their phones.
This project gave us valuable insights into blending in-game elements with the player’s real-world surroundings, opening up exciting possibilities for future AR experiences.
LilDrill
As part of Ludum Dare 48’s “Deeper and Deeper”, we created a space-arcade game where the player must continuously gain height to drive a drill deeper and deeper into a planet. By destroying it, they advance to the next stage, pushing both skill and strategy to the limit.
ID: Slimeboy
To dive into 2D platformers, we created the prototype “ID: Slimeboy.” Its unique mechanic lets players swap between the upper and underworld by creating doorways through defeated enemies. This allows Slimeboy to avoid obstacles, find shortcuts, and experiment with different strategies to complete levels. We also added a variety of wacky power-ups and enemy types to inject extra chaos and fun.
